The Saugatuck Congregational Church in Westport reopened its doors Sunday, three years after a fire caused significant damage to the building.
News 12 reported in November 2011 a massive fire scorched the church on Post Road East, nearly bringing down the building erected in 1832.
The church held its first service since the fire just before Christmas in 2014, and now church officials say they are ready to celebrate normal operations.
The first several weeks of 2015 were devoted to finalizing the repairs, officials say.
The church held a community-wide "Re-dedication Worship" Sunday afternoon.
Prior to the service, officials offered a public tour of the reconstructed building.
Officials declined to put a number on how much the restoration cost.
