A Greenwich garage containing explosive materials caught fire Saturday evening, destroying the structure.
According to fire officials, the fire broke out on Lake Avenue just after 5 p.m. Firefighers say the garage contained gasoline, propane tanks, and possibly ammunition. Witnesses say they could see smoke from miles away.
No one was injured in the fire, but the garage was destroyed and the Greenwich Fire Department's deputy chief says it will probably be torn down.
