Fire officials are investigating a suspicious fire at a home in Bridgeport.
Fire officials say they responded to a call Sunday at a home on Reservoir Avenue. They say they were able to put the fire out quickly.
Fire officials say someone may have purposely thrown a bottle of gasoline at the home.
"Subsequently they found some devices that possibly show it to be intentionally set," says Ron Rolfe, the deputy chief of the Bridgeport Fire Department.
The owner of the home was on vacation at the time of the fire and was stunned when she found out what happened.
"I have no enemies that would want to do this to me," says Edwina Howard. "You know I have no clue why it was done. It's a mystery."
Samples taken from the scene have been taken to the state police lab and the Bridgeport Police Department.
