Fireworks lit up the sky at Seaside Park in Bridgeport Friday night.
The fireworks show was held as part of the Barnum Festival. It was sponsored by the city of Bridgeport and PSEG Electric.
Police increased security for the event, with all-terrain vehicles and extra patrols.
The event featured a performance by the Greater Bridgeport Symphony, which made its first appearance at the show in more than 15 years.
