About 500 flags are now waving in Norwalk to honor local and national veterans ahead of Veterans Day next week.
The Norwalk Exchange Club organizes the tribute each year, working with the Frank C. Godfrey American Legion Post 12.
Organizers say it's the least they can do for the brave men and women who have served the country.
"I hope they remember what America is all about when they see the flags and what veterans have done for our country in order to protect the liberties that we take to heart," said Jimmy Booth, president of the Norwalk Exchange Club.
The display will remain up through Nov. 15.
