All-day rain on Thursday led to some flooding in parts of western Connecticut.

The Milford Fire Department blocked off roads to keep drivers safe from deep puddles.

The majority of flooding happened on the shoulders of roadways, which forced commuters to drive slower.

The Connecticut Department of Emergency Services warned drivers to avoid puddles of water and to pay attention to barricades and warnings.

Residents also say they were concerned about the rain possibly flooding their homes.
