Storm Team Meteorologist Michele Powers says more rain is on the way tonight and it will be cooler tomorrow.
NOW: Cloudy and damp. A few sprinkles and drizzle start back up tonight with fog. Another round of rain moves in but it's late and that could last for the morning commute.
FORECAST: The front is stalled nearby but will be sinking slightly to the south tonight. That means temperatures will cool back with lows near 40. Some 30s up north. Rain moves in overnight with another low pressure. The warm front doesn't quite clear the area tomorrow, so temperatures will stay in the upper 30s and lower 40s for the day. Rain will taper to showers after 6 a.m. and exit the area. Drying out but not clearing out for Friday.
WHAT'S NEXT: A quiet start to the weekend with dry weather Saturday but now rain will return for Sunday. Temperatures will drop during the day and there is a chance some of that rain may turn to snow. Risk of some minor accumulations up north in the higher terrain. Not as cold farther south, so right now not expecting much snow to stick. Temperatures are cooler next week with highs in the 30s and closer to seasonable. Normal high/low is 38/24 for late January. Some colder nights ahead for Sunday night, Monday night and even next week.
FRIDAY: Early rain, then cloudy. High near 41.
SATURDAY: Partly sunny to mostly cloudy. Cooler. High 48.
SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy with showers returning. Could see changeover to snow north. High 41.
MONDAY: Snow showers early, colder. Partly sunny. High 34. TUESDAY: Partly sunny. High 35. WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy. High 40. THURSDAY: Partly cloudy. High 40.
