The holidays are always a busy time of year at food banks, but the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County says Thanksgiving turkeys are in higher demand than ever this year.
Executive Director Kate Lombardo says in 2020, it's been harder than usual to keep food on the shelves due to the pandemic. She says this year the biggest shortage is in small turkeys as the pandemic has people preparing for more intimate gatherings than usual.
The director of the Wilson Food Pantry says Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County is important for keeping her shelves stocked.
Lombardo giving has never been more important than now.
