Ask anyone around Milford, and they probably know the last name Walker. The late Ken Walker was a legendary baseball coach at Foran High, and the school's baseball field is even named after him. Walker's son, Garrett enters his first season at the helm of the football team after serving as an assistant for a decade.
"It's special to me. It's something I've wanted to do for most of my childhood (to be the head baseball and football coach at Foran). Great experience, I was fortunate to play here for (my Dad) and getting to coach with him and learn a little bit deeper about the coaching was something that was very special to me. Something I think every son would like to do with their father, especially in our profession," Walker said.
The Lions open the season Friday night at home against Hillhouse.
