A former Bridgeport police officer was granted 6 months of accelerated rehabilitation today after accidentally shooting himself.
Juan Santiago, who was on the force for 29 years, shot himself in the leg in a crowded restaurant last year.
He is no longer with the department.
His attorney say all the charges will be dismissed if Santiago goes through the program with no problem.
