Former U.S. women's soccer coach and Connecticut native Tony DiCicco has died after battling cancer.
The popular coach with a calm demeanor grew up in Wethersfield.
DiCicco led the women's team to victories in 1996 at the Summer Olympics in Atlanta and at the World Cup in 1999.
He was 68 years old.
