Bridgeport officials are asking for the public's help in their search for the city's next police chief.

The city's Civil Service Department held two public forums with community members.

They are designed for people to voice their opinions and concerns on the search. 

The city recently announced its officers will be equipped with both body cameras and dashboard cameras for their vehicles.

Chief AJ Perez has served as the interim chief for more than two years.
