Couples in Windsor can get a free marriage license today.

Couples interested in getting their free marriage license must both be in attendance at their scheduled appointment and must have photo identification - such as a drivers license.

The town listed the steps on how to get a marriage license which includes; applying for a marriage license online, select Feb. 13 as the date of your ceremony on the application and await the Town Clerk's office for an email to set a time for your ceremony.

If additional questions arise, the town advises to call 860-285-1902 for any inquiries about the process.

The town of Windsor Locks is also offering marriage licenses today and urge those interested to call 860- 627-1441 or email Townclerk@wlocks.com to schedule an appointment.

East Hartford residents are also able to receive a free marriage license today. Those who signed up by Feb. 11 at 4:30 p.m. are able to receive their marriage license and a free celebratory cupcake.

Mystic is offering free wedding ceremonies at the Olde Mystic Village Meeting House on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
