Over 1,000 new students spent Sunday moving into their future homes at Fairfield University.
Just days ahead of classes, the campus was bustling with the sounds of moving bins, food on the barbecue and live music.
The university says this year has one of the largest freshman classes, as well as the most academically strong group of incoming first-year students.
Sunday began at 8 a.m. with dorm move-in and continued with QuadFest, a celebration with live music and food.
Staff spent the entire summer preparing campus and the dorms for the students so their move-in process was seamless.
The event is followed by another big celebration. On Wednesday, the university is set to hold a grand opening ceremony of 42 Langguth Hall, a new dormitory.
