The Westchester County Medical Examiner ruled today that the ex-wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. died of asphyxiation, painful news for a Greenwich woman with whom she was friends. Authorities say Mary Kennedy, 52, hung herself inside a garage at the family's Bedford home. Sara Herbert-Galloway says she is friendly with members of the Kennedy family and is shocked by the death. "The Kennedys, unfortunately, have had more scandals and more tragedies and more undeserved deaths in their family than any family in the nation," says Herbert-Galloway. Mary was RFK Jr.'s second wife. They separated in 2010 and have four children. AP wire services contributed to this report.
