Friends and family are mourning the death of Shelton High School student Jonathan Sabo.
Investigators say they were called to the area of Booth Hill Road for a missing juvenile complaint on Friday.
Officers found the 15-year-old dead in a wooded area nearby. Police say his death is still under investigation, but they say they don't suspect foul play.
The district's superintendent announced the death in a statement Friday on the district's website.
Classmates say Sabo was an outstanding drummer who played Little League when he was younger and who always had a smile on his face.
They say it has been hard dealing with his death.
"I couldn't go on through the day," said Isaiah Torres, a student at Shelton High School. "I tried to stop myself from crying. I couldn't stop, and no one could.
Torres says students who needed to talk about what happened were invited to the library to speak with school staff.
