Family and friends gathered at the Riverview Funeral Home on Wednesday to say goodbye to a Stratford public safety dispatcher.
Laura Price, a Stratford public safety dispatcher and Shelton volunteer firefighter, died last week after her car crashed into a tree in Stratford.
Police officers, firefighters and EMS workers gathered for her wake and funeral. Town officials say it hasn't been easy dealing with Price's death.
"You never get comfortable with a loss, but there are people around who give you a little Band-Aid to get through the hard days," says Stratford Town Councilman David Harden. "This is one of those things. You'll never forget her."
Price leaves behind a 9-year-old son. Loved ones say she will be remembered for her years of public service and as a loving mother and wife.
