Two Stamford business owners delivered Friday a truckload of furniture to Bridgeport families displaced by a massive condo fire.
The Dec. 31 fire at 215 Charles St. left 36 families -- about 130 people -- homeless. The owners of Stamford-based Junkluggers, a hauling company, and Second Chance Furniture teamed up to help the families get back on their feet.
Dan Maly, of Junkluggers, says he saw the story on News 12 Connecticut and decided to put together a collection of used furniture for the affected families.
The victims say they're grateful for the donations after losing most of their belongings in the blaze.
The furniture arrived at a warehouse on Seaview Avenue Friday. Organizers say families affected by the fire can pick up donations through Sunday afternoon.
