?A company called Hollywood East/Area 51 recently won the right to buy an engine plant, known as Allied Signal, from the U.S. Army. However, the future of the Stratford plant is still unknown.
The company has until October to close the deal on the 78-acre property next to Sikorsky Airport. However, the Connecticut Post reports the two primary stakeholders in Area 51 are going to court over control of the company. And that could jeopardize the October deadline.
If the deal does fall through, the question is whether the next highest bidder gets a shot at the plant or the bidding process starts all over.
