Long lines for fuel caused a gridlock nightmare on I-95, causing police to close a rest stop entrance.
The line for a rest stop in Fairfield on I-95 got so backed up that state police shut down the gas station entrance overnight. State officials say one reason the lines are so long is because drivers from New York and New Jersey and heading to Southern Connecticut to fill up, hoping to avoid long lines for gas at home.
The rest stop has now been reopened.
