A Georgia man, James Schwab, faces charges for his alleged role in a violent carjacking and kidnapping in Danbury Aug. 25, 2024, police said.

Danbury police arrested six Florida men that day after they abducted two victims, who were later identified as parents of someone suspected of stealing hundreds of millions in cryptocurrency.

Authorities say Schwab communicated with the kidnappers days before the crime, providing funding, transportation, and lodging.

The incident involved a carjacking of a Lamborghini Urus, with the victims forcibly taken from the vehicle.
