People gathered in Stamford Sunday for a gluten-free food festival.
Organizers of the Gluten-Free Food Allergy Fest at the Hilton Hotel on Stamford Place say the festival included gluten-free foods and lotions, as well as lectures about gluten-free living.
They say the gluten-free diet is not just a fad.
"For people with celiac disease, they need to be on a gluten-free diet for obvious reasons because of their health," says organizer Shelia Cafferty. "But then, you also have a lot of people who have gluten allergies, gluten sensitivity, that also need to be on the diet."
