Loved ones started a fundraiser for a Norwalk man who was struck by a car on Halloween.
Co-workers at Town Fair Tire in Stratford say 31-year-old Alan Ramirez was on his way to work around 8 a.m. last Wednesday when he was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle. It happened on Honeyspot Road near the entrance to I-95.
Ramirez's girlfriend, Jes Mitchell, has been posting updates on his condition on social media. According to the GoFundMe page, Ramirez was listed in critical condition at Bridgeport Hospital's intensive care unit.
Mitchell says Ramirez has been losing blood and was placed in a medically induced coma with a breathing tube. She says they were in the process of waiting for an available operating room.
