Gov. Lamont broke ground on major new upgrades to Bradley International Airport Thursday.
In three years, the new Bradley Airport Transportation Center will open to the public.
The location gives easier access to walk right from a parking spot to the terminal.
The new upgrade also brings in 800 new parking spots, as well as a connection to the Hartford Line trains, as well as express shuttles from with luggage racks and USB charging.
It’s the latest update to the airport, with 2016 bringing in international service with Aer Lingus, as well as two new airlines this year.
Gov. Lamont also wants to explore bringing passenger service back to Sikorski Airport, and Tweed in New Haven may add flights as well.
