Gov. Ned Lamont is turning to Connecticut residents to choose inspirational people for statues at the State Capital.
"RBG would have been perfect, but she's not really Connecticut roots," Lamont says. "I'd like to think about a little more diversity then the people who are up there."
Lamont is pitching names like Jackie Robinson and Harriet Beecher Stowe.
The new statue would replace the Christopher Columbus statue removed from Hartford.
