Gov. Ned Lamont says he will submit a proposal to the General Assembly in the next few days to prevent homelessness.

The plan would use $5.2 million in emergency state response reserve funds to help stop homelessness and support response services.

Legislative leaders will have 24 hours to review the plan after it is submitted.
