Gov. Ned Lamont has issued an executive order requiring nursing homes to ensure residents be allowed to regularly virtually visit with family members.
The visits will be held on conferencing sites like FaceTime or Zoom and will last for at least 20 minutes.
Facilities will work with residents and their families to schedule video calls.
Facilities that are unable to allow video calling must come up with another solution.
