Gov. Ned Lamont is expected to unveil protocols today that businesses should follow when they reopen for the first time since the pandemic in just under two weeks, he says.
The advisory group has been working on putting together the number of protocols for businesses, so customers and staff are safe upon return.

In order for the businesses to reopen May 20, Lamont says there is specific criteria that needs to met.
The criteria includes a 14 day decline in hospitalizations, an increase in testing, sufficient contact tracing capacity, protecting vulnerable populations, adequate hospital capacity, and workplace safeguards.
Gov. Lamont is aiming for 42,000 tests a week this month, and testing would include both symptomatic and asymptomatic people.
Gov. Lamont is hoping that each criteria will be met as quickly as possible by May 20 when some Connecticut businesses are slated to reopen.
