Gov. Ned Lamont wants to buy Connecticut residents a drink - sort of.
The governor launched a campaign to help get Connecticut's restaurant industry back on track and promote vaccines by offering vaccinated residents a free beverage at participating watering holes.
"Get the jab so you don’t get stuck with the tab," the governor tweeted.
Hundreds of restaurants across Connecticut are participating in the new campaign called #CTDrinksOnUs.
Lamont says all you have to do is get vaccinated to get a free drink with purchase of food.
The offer runs now through May 31.
