Gov. Dannel Malloy declared a limited state of emergency Friday so utility crews from Canada can come down and help restore power to areas in the state still affected by Wednesday night's wild storm.
Heavy rain and whipping caused power outages across the state.
The cleanup that began Thursday as utility crews worked to untangle power lines.
In Greenwich, part of Route 1 had to be closed, and schools were delayed for two hours.
Westport and New Canaan closed schools for the entire day due to downed power lines.
