Gov. Dannel Malloy, along with Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman, will be honoring firefighters today who died in the line of duty.
They're set to deliver remarks at the annual State Firefighters Memorial Service later this afternoon in Windsor Locks.
The governor will also pay special tribute to Airman John A. Chapman.
Chapman was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor last month at the White House.
He died saving the lives of his teammates in 2002 while serving in Afghanistan.

Following that, Gov. Malloy and Lt. Gov. Wyman will participate in a ceremony honoring in his hometown of Windsor Locks sergeant.
The ceremony will offer an opportunity for his friends and family, as well as area veterans groups and state and local officials, to honor his service and acknowledge the national recognition.
