Gov. Dannel Malloy (D-C.T.) made an appearance in Norwalk today to promote his public school education campaign. Malloy spoke at Brookside Elementary School, where he emphasized the importance of pre-school education. He says the school's successful pre-K program effectively prepares the children for kindergarten.
School officials say the pre-K program, which is less than seven years old, is funded by state aid, private grants and tuition costs.
