Police say a robber used a very low-key approach to steal cash from a Dollar Tree store in Milford.
Investigators say the man simply walked into the Bridgeport Avenue store around 10 a.m., reached over the counter and grabbed about $40 from the register.
A customer followed the suspect out of the store to get a license plate number, but the robber motioned as if he had a weapon. Despite the threat, the customer did manage to get a plate number. Police say the vehicle was also used in a CVS robbery in Bridgeport last week.
Despite the robbery, the store didn't miss a beat. Employees kept the business open and continued to serve customers. Many customers weren't even aware that a crime had taken place.
