Bridgeport police say a legally blind grandmother was unharmed after being abducted Wednesday night.
The incident began around 9 p.m. at Charles and Main streets.
Gina Alvarado, the victim's granddaughter, says her husband took her grandmother along while running some errands. While parked on Main Street, and the grandmother in the back seat, he went inside a business. That's when the suspect can be seen in surveillance video stealing the car and taking off.
Police say the car thief eventually dropped her off on Fairfield Avenue.
Police are still searching for the stolen vehicle - a black 2007 Mazda 6. They say the suspect also stole the victim's cellphone and about $70 in cash.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Bridgeport police.
