Norwalk firefighters responded to a reported structure fire along 187 Ely Avenue at 4:22 p.m. Saturday evening.

Firefighters rescued a trapped dog on the first floor of the residency, with a second dog escaping the fire with the occupants prior to the arrival of emergency personnel.
Thirteen residents were displaced, with the American Red Cross aiding the residents.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Norwalk Fire Marshal's Office.
