Great River GC to host Hartford HealthCare Women's Championship

The official qualifying tour of the LPGA, the Epson Tour, returns to Connecticut this July with the Hartford Healthcare Women's Championship.

The official qualifying tour of the LPGA, the Epson Tour, returns to Connecticut this July with the Hartford Healthcare Women's Championship.

Great River Golf Club of Milford will host the event.

"I'm hoping to play on the big stage one day, the LPGA and be able to consecutively play in tournaments against the best of the best," said Long Island's Jenny Rosenberg.

Destiny Lawson of Florida offered a message for young golfers.

"Believe in yourself, chase your dreams, and it's OK to fall down as long as you get back up," she said.

The first round of the tournament tees off July 14.
