Federal officials have announced that an attorney from Greenwich has pleaded guilty to possessing and accessing child pornography.

According to court documents and statements, Christopher Bates Jr. used the dark web to view the illegal content.

A search of his laptop revealed more than 1,000 illicit images.

Bates is currently out on bond and is being monitored until sentencing.
