Federal officials say an attorney from Greenwich has pleaded guilty to possessing and accessing child pornography.
Officials said a laptop search turned up approximately 1,222 images and two videos depicting the sexual abuse of children, including infants.
According to court documents and statements, Christopher Bates Jr., 37, used the dark web to view the illegal content.
Bates was released on a $300,000 bond and is under electronic monitoring pending sentencing.
State officials said a sentencing date has not been scheduled.
