? Greenwich High School is preparing for the second year of a new elective that has attracted a lot of attention and is opening new doors for some students.
The school started a sign language class about two years ago, after students expressed interest in learning to communicate with a deaf member of the school community.
None of the students in the class now are deaf, but they can converse with one another as the class moves along in silence.
The sign language class was expanded to two sections this year, and an advanced class is also being offered.
