For one Greenwich resident, December is the time for his most personal work -- his annual Christmas concert and its message.
Rob Mathes has netted himself an Emmy award and Grammy nomination during his years of composing, producing and arranging for some of music's greats, including Bono and Bruce Springsteen.
He has also been nominated for Tony and Drama Desk awards for his collaboration with longtime friend Sting on the album and Broadway show "The Last Ship."
Mathes says the message of his annual concert resonates now more than ever due to today's global climate.
The Christmas concert will be held Dec. 18 and 19 at SUNY Purchase in Purchase, New York.
Mathes says his new album, "Wheelbarrow," will come out next year.
