Greenwich officials are considering changes to a town ordinance that bans leaf blowers in the city.
First Selectman Peter Tesei says he is looking to amend Citizens Against Leafblower Mania (CALM), which bans leaf blowers between April and October each year to reduce airborne pollutants.
The chairman for the Board of Health in Greenwich says that after review, the board has determined this a quality of life issue and not a health issue. Tesei has given the board one week to decide if it will amend the current ordinance.
Officials say the issue will be discussed further at Town Hall next Thursday.
