Greenwich police arrested a man Thursday morning after a multistate chase connected to a kidnapping and assault.

Police identified the suspect as 39-year-old Daniel Patrick Twomey, of Lodi, New Jersey.

They say authorities in New York pursued Twomey across state lines into Greenwich.

Greenwich police finally located Twomey parked on Lakeview Drive.

They say they persuaded him to get out of the vehicle and surrender.

Twomey is charged with engaging in pursuit and interfering.

He's being held on a $50,000 bond.
