Greenwich police are warning residents about recent lottery scams.

Police say some residents have received bogus letters with checks from Highlight Lottery Inc. They say residents are led to believe that they won an international lottery.

Residents are warned not to cash the checks because their bank account information will be exposed.

Police say don't trust unsolicited calls or emails and never give out personal information.
