Greenwich police officers worked for tips all in the name of a children's charity.
The officers served as waiters and busboys at the Sundown Saloon Thursday evening. They say they donated all of the tips earned to Kids in Crisis.
Kids in Crisis is an organization that provides free, around-the-clock counseling and temporary shelter for infants, children and teens.
Officers say they wanted to do something to help those in need.
"The Kids in Crisis service just had [its] budget cut by $750,000, which had [an] immediate negative impact to the services they provide to the kids in Greenwich," says Sgt. Tim Hilderbrand, of the Greenwich Police Department.
