Halloween pet parade at Jennings Beach helps launch nonprofit
A new nonprofit organization held a Halloween costume pet parade at Jennings Beach Saturday as a way of getting their charity off the ground while also recognizing National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
Woofgang & Co. is offering employment opportunities for young adults with disabilities – making pet treats, novelty items and accessories for pets.
"It means everything to me and other parents involved in Woofgang & Co. to see our kids excited about work," said Kris Burbank.
The event featured dressed-up canines, music and food.
"It's an honor to be part of this nonprofit organization, and I feel very proud of it," says Andrew Burbank, of Woofgang and Co.
