A Hampton Bays man was found guilty in the 2020 murder of his romantic rival.

Prosecutors say Alcides Lopez Cambara became jealous when the victim called his girlfriend, told her it was his birthday and asked to see her.

They say Lopez Cambara, his girlfriend and two others lured the victim out under the premise of celebrating and then beat him to death and robbed him.

Lopez Cambara faces 25 years to life in prison.
