Prom dress giveaway held in Stratford

There was a large turnout Saturday for a prom dress giveaway at Vazzano's Four Seasons in Stratford.
Ahead of the giveaway, 800 new and like-new dresses were collected.
The event was organized by radio host Kevin Begley of Star 99.9. and sponsored by the station.
Begley said it was great to see so many happy and smiling faces once girls selected their dresses.
"It was unbelievable. You know, people started lining up an hour, an hour and a half before we opened the doors and it was just incredible to see all these girls coming with their parents, their friends, their brothers and sisters, coming to pick out their dress. They were so excited for prom, and luckily we had a beautiful day, too, so it felt like a springtime prom," he said.
