Teachers, students and parents gathered at the state capitol in support of Connecticut's technical schools yesterday.
The hearing was put together by a task force to evaluate the technical school system and recommend any changes.
Some parents pleaded with lawmakers to better fund the schools, saying they provide the students with knowledge and training.
Speakers also rallied to get funds for Wright Tech in Stamford.
The school closed in 2009 due to budget cuts, and is expected to reopen in 2014.
