It's hazy, hot and humid as we approach record heat for this day in Western Connecticut.
The record high for Bridgeport on this day is 96 degrees, set in 2002.
It's day two of this season's second expected heat wave. It has not been this hot on this date in nearly two decades.
Temperatures will feel like they are hotter than 100 degrees today and tomorrow.
Thunderstorms could break the heat on Wednesday.
Be aware of reduced air quality that will make it difficult for those with respiratory issues and the very young.
Heat relief comes Thursday as temperatures drop into the 80s.
Friday will feature temperatures in the upper-70s.
