A new study has found that heavy drinking can cause earlier and more severe strokes.

Heavy alcohol use is considered drinking three times a day. That's linked to bleeding strokes, more severe brain bleeds and earlier long-term brain damage.

According to the study in the peer-reviewed journal Neurology, people who drank an average of three glasses of alcohol per day had their brain bleeds on an average of 11 years younger than compared to people who were drinking less alcohol.
